BASKETBALL
For the second game in a row, the Weber State University Basketball Team will be playing a Division II school. They will be playing Colorado Christian University at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. It is the team’s second and final exhibition game and the Wildcats will look to continue building on Monday night’s success against the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs. In that game the Wildcats hit their first 13 three-pointers and shot 73 percent from behind the arc on the night. Head Coach Randy Rahe said the team was able to find so many open shots because of their unselfishness. He also said one of the major issues that worried him was that he didn’t feel like the team played good enough defense in the first half. Sophomore Damien Lillard said the team coaches stressed the importance of defense at halftime and because of that the ’Cats buckled down and played better in the second half. If the Wildcats can play defense for the whole game then the score may be even more lopsided than the 110-58 victory on Monday.
VOLLEYBALL
The women’s volleyball team will be in Sacramento, California, to play Sacramento State University. They will play at 8 p.m. In their last game against No. 1 ranked Northern Colorado University, the Wildcats won the first two sets, were up 24-21 in the third but ended up losing in five sets. WSU’s next game will be Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Swenson gym.
