Parking has always been hard to come by at Weber State University. Students and faculty scramble each morning to find parking around campus and Parking Services are having a hay-day giving out tickets to cars that are parked improperly.

But what about parking for students living on campus? Are they affected by this continued parking crisis?

Students living in Promontory Towers had to give up about 50 percent of their parking because of construction.

In 2005, doctors diagnosed Dylan Smith, now five years old, with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). ALL, also known as acute lymphocytic leukemia and acute lymphoid leukemia, is the most common form of leukemia in children under age 15. It is a type of blood cancer formed in a solitary blood cell that is not contagious; however, according to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), roughly 5,430 Americans will be diagnosed with ALL by the end of 2008.

Most students are poor. It's a fact most of us deal with sometime or another during our college careers. To combat this financial shortcoming, many of us seek part-time employment because the extra cash comes in handy to pay bills, tuition, and any other lifestyle accessories that we can't live without.

The Nuance

Curse you Ronald Wilson Reagan! Curse you for what you did. Your triumphs were spectacular, but at what cost? Oh, the cost!

This week, so-called social conservatives have been happier than Ted Kaczynski in a bomb and packaging store. After all, what could be better than a passive, gun-toting, Christian beauty queen from the most unpopulated state to accompany John McCain's "questionable" loyalties?

While I would not take up much space denouncing capitalism, or the second amendment, I cannot help but wonder if our 40th president knew what black abyss of ideology jacking phoniness would come to be epitomized and characterized by the likes of Jerry Falwell.

Let's be honest, as a music director at a college radio station and a music reviewer for the Signpost, I go to a lot of shows. I sometimes go to two different shows a night. So as you can understand, I sometimes get a little burned out with watching a singer spout out his emotional longings or his/her frustrations about life, sometimes imbedded with a grunt, groan, or an all out scream.
He drove to Rubio's, a new Mexican grill located on Riverdale Road at 300 West, to wait in line for their grand opening. The first 50 people in the store won free Rubio's food once a week for a year, in the form of gift certificates that are sent out four times a year to the 50 participants.

The Weber State University Football Team got off to a great start last Saturday, pounding the University of Montana - Western 62-6. But this Saturday at 10 p.m. (MDT), the Wildcats face a tougher and perhaps more familiar foe in the University of Hawaii.

The Warriors are the defending Western Athletic Conference Champions, fresh off an appearance in last year's Sugar Bowl, and return a total of nine starters from last year's 12-1 squad.

Weber State University offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven said Saturday's game against the University of Hawaii is a big opportunity for his team.

In coach speak, that can often mean, "we're going to play a really good team and probably get our butts handed to us, but at least we might learn a couple things from it.

HONOLULU (AP) - Inoke Funaki hasn't started a football game in nearly seven years. But after having doors literally slammed in his face and spending two years on the bench, patience is something the Hawaii quarterback has aplenty. Listed No. 3 on the depth chart to open the season for the third straight year, Funaki has been chosen as Hawaii's starter against Weber State on Saturday night.
