Broadway Project

Regional auditions for the Broadway Theatre Project will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. in the Browning Center Rooms 136 and 38. All auditioning should be prepared with 16 bars of a song, a monologue and a head shot. Dress to dance. A jazz and tap combo will be taught at the audition. Auditions are open to the public with a $35 application fee. Check www.broadwaytheatreproject.com for applications or they will be available before auditions. Registration opens at 9 a.m. Workshops will be held Nov 9 and 10.

Call for Entry

The Weber State University Department of Performing Arts will present the 2nd annual Resonance on Tuesday, Nov 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Browning Center Room 136. Original music composed and performed by WSU students will be featured. This is a free performance and is open to the public. Children eight years and older are welcome to attend. Those interested in submitting works can contact Nicholas at nicholasgermer@mail.weber.edu. The concert will be recorded and CDs will be given to those who participate. Deadline for submission is November 9.

Ott Planetarium

Weber State University's Ott Planetarium and the Ogden Astronomical Society will present a public information session and star party on Nov 9. at 7:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring their friends and children to learn of the science involved in viewing the skies. There will be a collection of telescopes available for everyone to try. The planets Neptune and Uranus will be also be in view. Amateur astronomers will be there with telescopes with various ranges. The session is free. For information call 626-6871.

Universe City

For the month of November, Universe City, 2556 Washington Blvd. will feature the photographs of Tracy Longley-Cook and Tomiko Jones, two award recipients for a conference scheduled at Weber State University, Nov 8-12. The show is running in conjunction with the Society of Photographic Educators (SPE), Southwest Regional Conference, hosted by WSU Department of Visual Arts. The exhibit will be open Fridays 5-8 p.m. and Saturdays Noon to 8 p.m. There will be a conference Nov. 10, 5-8 p.m. that is open to public.
