Hosting the Big Sky Men’s Basketball Tournament is a big deal, according to Athletic Director Jerry Bovee. It brings revenue and exposure to Weber State University, television coverage from stations like ESPN and Altitude. It fills hotel rooms and brings visitors to Ogden.

At this time last year, things looked pretty similar for the Weber State University Men’s Basketball Team. Then they came up short in the semifinals, something this year’s team vowed wouldn’t happen again. They made good on their promise with a 69-60 win over the Portland State University Vikings, last year’s champions.

The Weber State University Department of Performing Arts is bringing a classic story of love to campus starting tonight, March 5, in the form of The Light in the Piazza. “It takes place in Italy; it’s kind of a ‘warm’ show,” said WSU senior Cameron Garner, who plays the male lead, Fabrizio.

Annual Holocaust commemoration duties reassigned to department
The Holocaust was a dark part of the world’s history. This time is associated with torture and devastation as well as courage. It is important, not only to history but also to those who were involved, to ensure that future generations don’t forget what happened to those forced to participate and those held captive in concentration camps.
The Dee Events Center was packed with 4,387 by the end of the day, Tuesday, March 9, for the semi-final games of the Big Sky Conference Tournament. From local Weber State University fans, to Colorado, Montana, Idaho, and as far as Oregon, fans cam to WSU to support their various teams.
Alice in Wonderland, a story that has been around for generations, has seen numerous stage and film adaptations since its original conception, and this month the latest production by Tim Burton will hit theaters.
